Hack Your Time

January flew by past, and for some, it is by far the fastest January ever. Have you been feeling the same? Have you been casting the blame on time for all the unticked boxes in your to-do list?
Time will never slow down for you, neither will a year be a day less than the last (unless, it was leap year of course). You either keep up with time, or you don’t. It’s as simple as that.
True, you only have 24 hours, but so does Elon Musk. For those of you who don’t know who he is, let me tell you that you haven’t been using the internet right!
Jokes apart, most of us fall short when it comes to managing time. It is because we spend more time worrying about all the wasted time than actually doing something about it. Honestly, it’s okay to have unticked boxes in your to-do list. None of us are a hundred percent accurate in planning our days. What’s not okay is to have them unticked because you weren’t being productive enough.
Productivity, my friends, is what you should be focusing on. Spend time thinking instead of worrying. That’s how you’d discover where most of your time is wasted on. Is it on social media? Is it on sleep? Is it on gossip? Is it on Netflix? Once you figure it out, put it on one side of the beam balance, with your life goals on the other, and see if they are worth wasting time on.
January is almost gone, but the good news is that you still have 11 months to go. You still have enough time to get where you’ve always wanted to be and be the best version of yourself. In fact, you have your entire life to get there, and you just need to be realistic on how you break your tasks down into achievable chunks.
Most importantly, stop blaming other people and take up a mirror. Let the person in it take the blame for everything that goes wrong in your life, even if it was the weather! Trust me on this, the minute you start being responsible, you start focusing even more. You’d strive harder and push yourself to heights you once deemed impossible.
Start. Now is the time. And 2019 is your year.
